eK - Navigating entropic Pulsations 18 Dec 24
12/18/24
This week's pulse has me in one helluva ride. However the glimpse I've gotten from the splash of the beat may be actual progress, some traction this time.
Seriously the fastest I have ever experienced burnout. Real bad needing to sleep forever burnout, which coukd also be ADHD task paralysis - it's hard to know when you're a quite person.
But I'll tell ya, the only things that shook me loose from the spiral were watching ADHD advice videos on YouTube. Tangible references of information to clock the systems and break the thought cycles.
However, coming out on the other side has left me with an overwhelming sense of that job I was in is going to kill me if I let it.
A fulfillment center is no joke. Hell a warehouse ain't much better. Do the floors have to hurt that much? Is it like a right of passage? Well I failed, and it's not like a road to success is paved with many failures type fail. It's a why the hell did you think you could do that? 10 hours a day, 5 floors/2 miles of walking each day in composite toe shoes? Maybe a decade ago, but my body just can't do it anymore. Several other folks had 3-5x the walking distance in their jobs. If it was 3 days a week, I could probably make it through and adapt, but 4 days which became 5 days just after I started? Nope, ain't gonna happen. The trade off isn't sweet enough, to find out if I'm even capable.
It's time to abandon the air ship build and jump with what I got to work with. I just need enough of a framework to get to the next way point. My eyes are open, motivations properly set, focus isn't possible, so I've got to work between the pulses, and play to my strengths.
As I see it, I have 3 areas I need to improve in this next leg:
1. Feasibility - Research and Validate 3-5 business plans & choose a single 1 to move forward with.
2. Presentation - Know the plan in and out and be confident in the presentation from top to bottom.
3. Resource Management - Especially Time & from there the balance if time & money.
The first step in any transformation is awareness. I have that in a clearer picture than ever before. However, I tend to get there the hard way, so in the interest of helping whomever decides to follow my journey, here are a few tips so you don't have to experience the same level of torture I just had the pleasure of.
First Step:
Analyze and Listen
Keep in mind I said you coukd avoid the level of pain, not completely avoid pain. In fact the more you try to avoid any amount of pain, the worse it feels and less effective the experience is as you'll essentially be setting yourself up to endure it over and over again until you get it. Thus why I described my most recent trip as torture.
Analysis - A full analysis occurs when you look within yourself on a cellular scale. How can you possibly do that while still alive and without a microscope? It's a metaphor. Just bear with me. Our DNA cells through a powerful microscope show a series of sticks and chains pieced together. A less powerful microscope gives you a less clear picture. So, where are you going to find the best damn microscope on your overall life? What do you think? What does this anogy bring to mind?
Who can you think of that coukd provide you a crystal clear image of your life in each area?
Health
Finance
Romance
Family
Vocation
Vacation
Education
Spirituality

Step one - Gather the data
Step two - Formulate an analysis of each point. Give each a score on a scale of 1 to 10. Or 0-10. 0 as the worst, and 10 as the best.
Only even that is far too broad. Go through each category and define the 0's and 10's circumstances. Define a 4 and a 6 on each scale just to give each piece more clarity.
Keep Score
Now that you have this hyper focus, go ahead and think through all the data you've gathered. Define your starting points. Are you satisfied with each of these scores? How would you like to see them change in the coming year?
What does keeping score look like to you? Every quarter? Every day? Weekly?
Real change only happens when eyes are on point. The moment you look away or forget entropy begins to creep in and swallow up progress.
Real change is possible when the data is kept close and fresh. This is why Journaling is the most undervalued tool absolutely anyone can use to crush their goals.
Consistency is hard for most, and neay impossible for NeuroDivergents. Here are a few hacks to keep the log going in the face of chaos.
Seperate your time and wall off commitments in time blocks
Reduce friction & prepare
Color Code & Symbolize
More on these later, for now, what do you think I'm getting at?
